Nellikka Chammanthy ! ! (Gooseberry chutney)

  • 3 big gooseberries
  • 4 shallots
  • 1 chopped green chilly
  • 1 small piece of ginger
  • 1 tsp coriander leaves (optional)
  • 2 tbsp grated coconut
  • salt as required
  • Crush the de-seeded gooseberries in the small jar of mixer first.
  • Now add all the other ingredients and blend well.
  • Check salt.
  • Serve with Kanji/Rice gruel or rice.
